2021 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Performance

Screaming Fast and Fully Equipped

The 2021 Dodge Challenger Hellcat turns heads for two reasons: speed and looks. This throwback muscle car is loaded with all of the latest technology to give it an eye-popping amount of horsepower. Add to that the well-equipped interior, and you’ve got one unbelievable street-legal two-door coupe.

The performance specs on the 2021 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat are determined by the key you use to start the car. Choose the black key fob for 500 horsepower, and when you want to unleash the beast, choose the red key fob for 717 horses. To see the Hellcat in person, we invite you to visit us at Lake City Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM, a part of the Morgan Auto Group.

Achieving Maximum Horsepower

The 2021 Dodge Challenger Hellcat reaches 717 horsepower thanks to the Supercharged 6.2L HEMI® V8 under the hood. Along with the 717 horsepower, the Hellcat achieves 656 lb-ft of torque, too. The Hellcat comes standard with a six-speed manual and RWD for true muscle car handling. The available TORQUEFLITE® eight-speed automatic transmission comes with Autostick and paddle shifters for drivers who want shifting options on the V8 engine.

To keep the powerful V8 from overheating, the Hellcat Redeye offers a feature called SRT POWER CHILLER®, which diverts air-conditioning refrigerant to the chiller unit to cool the intake air. Drivers can use Line Lock to hold the front brakes for a premium burnout while the rear wheels enjoy the horsepower. Once achieving the burnout, drivers can rely on Launch Assist to avoid wheel hop and Launch Control to hold the optimal RPMs post-burnout.

Going Faster

If 717 horsepower isn’t enough for you, Dodge offers more options on the 2021 model year. The Hellcat Redeye gets 797 horsepower, and the Super Stock has even more with a class-leading 807 horsepower. Both models have impressive quarter-mile times, with the Hellcat completing the distance in 11.10 seconds and the Super Stock finishing in 10.5 seconds. These two trim levels take high-performance to a new level.

You can choose to add to the exterior appearance by choosing the SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody styling. The widebody package harkens back to the original muscle car look with flares on the fenders and a spoiler on the rear.

Winning the Race

Stock drag racing goes to new speeds with the 2021 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack 1320. While this model does not achieve the same horsepower as the Super Stock, Dodge built it to take to the drag strip and win. It comes with the TorqueFlite 8HP70 8-speed automatic transmission, TransBrake, Torque Reserve, and Launch Control. It also comes with real street-legal drag radials that take full advantage of the SRT-tuned three-mode Adaptive Damping Suspension.

Despite having less horsepower than the Hellcat and Super Stock, the interior has less weight to maximize the 485 horsepower from the 6.4L 392 HEMI® V8. With the lighter weight and special tuning, the 1320 achieves a top speed of 115 MPH and finishes the quarter-mile in 11.70 seconds.
